Mapsolute Comes To North America

Natick, MA, USA – April 26, 2004--Mapsolute, a leading European Internet mapping provider, today introduced its new free North American Internet mapping portal, www.map24.com.

Showcasing Mapsolute's award winning vector mapping technology, MapTP, the Map24.com portal provides users with uniquely satisfying interactive road maps and directions on demand.

The key features of the North American portal are its incredible speed and the ease-of-use of the map itself. The map rendering is many times faster than other North American map sites, making it much easier to navigate. Zooming and panning is performed in an animated fashion. In addition, the map itself is uniquely interactive, allowing users to click on embedded map objects to get detailed information about individual points of interest.

In conjunction with the new North American portal, Mapsolute announced the formation of its North American subsidiary, Mapsolute, Inc. The new subsidiary, based in Natick, Massachusetts, will sell and support the flagship mapping products, MapTP and Map24.

Jim Edelmann, President of Mapsolute Inc., intends to focus its strategy on companies within the travel and retail industries looking to greatly enhance their customer web sites.

He also emphasized that MapTP applications can be hosted at the customer's site for intranet or client/server applications. Developers can embed MapTP in their applications to provide a full range of mapping functionality.
