Eutelsat Executives Featured at Three Conference Sessions, Offering
Expertise on Global Satellite Market Trends
WASHINGTON, DC - March 2, 2004 - Eutelsat
S.A., one of the world's
leading satellite operators, today announced that its Chairman of the
Management Board and CEO, Giuliano Berretta, will be featured as part of
the Global Industry Leaders Roundtable at Satellite 2004, March 3-5 at
the new Washington Convention Center. Including Mr. Berretta, Eutelsat
will be represented at a total of three conference sessions at Satellite
2004. Olivier Milliès-Lacroix, Director of sales and Products of
Eutelsat S.A., will present on a panel to discuss satellite solutions in
Africa, and John Roldan, Vice President, Sales of Eutelsat, Inc., will
focus on the satellite broadband opportunity. Eutelsat will also present
its latest satellite solutions at the Satellite 2004 exhibition, in
Booth #107.
Satellite 2004 is known for bringing together the best and brightest in
the industry to discuss current topics and issues. Members of the
Eutelsat team are frequently called upon to share their knowledge and
expertise at the annual event. As part of the Global Industry Leaders
Roundtable, on Wednesday, March 3 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, Mr. Berretta
will offer his insight on the changing face of the FSS industry, and
discuss how Eutelsat is participating in the development of new markets
and anticipating customer requirements with innovative service
offerings.
Olivier Milliès-Lacroix will represent Eutelsat at a session on Africa:
Connecting The Continent With Satellite Solutions, which will be held on
Wednesday, March 3 from 4:00 PM - 5:15 PM, and will highlight growth
challenges and opportunities across Africa. Eutelsat already provides
coverage of the African continent through a number of its satellites in
both Ku-band and C-band frequencies. This reach will soon be reinforced
with the upcoming launch of Eutelsat's new W3A satellite. Currently
undergoing final launch preparations, W3A is due to be orbited by a
Proton booster on March 16, 2004 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
John Roldan of Eutelsat's North American subsidiary, Eutelsat Inc., will
represent the company for the session Satellite Broadband Services for
2004 and Beyond: An Update, on Friday, March 5 from 11:00 AM - 12:20 PM.
The panel discussion will focus on the increasing viability of
satellite-based broadband services, and the logistics involved with
developing systems to support them. Eutelsat offers a range of offerings
to support broadband for both the corporate and consumer markets, and in
September last year launched e-BIRD(TM), a satellite optimized for
high-speed, two-way Internet access.
